The Sixteenth Day


Standing at the mouth of Gangbala Mountain with an altitude of 4990 meters, we are shocked by the fantastic Yamdrok Lake so deeply. There are new discoveries and new challenges as well as new surprises everyday in park central hotel miami.

The school for the blind is organized by Germany Sabriye Tenberken and Dutch Paul Kronenberg, which is about 19 kilometers away from Shigatse. It’s just an international organization that the blind are taught knowledge and skills here. When we are here, we met with some tourists that joining Beijing package tour.





The blind boy who is locked in a dark room for 11 years plays guitar well. They are the happiest people in the sunshine of Tibet.

Paul has education background of engineering, computer, commercial technology, system communication. Once he set up rural primary schools in Zimbabwe, Botswana, Zambia and design hospitals for other countries in South Africa. He is in charge of computer, account and office work.
Paul insists that he works in Tibet for inner happiness. He said: “I am not paying but asking for, and I’m asking for other’s smile.”




Mike who is from Canada and is an expert of the blind language and farming operates the school and the farm. He has been working here for 11 years. He has designed the most environmental toilets and greenhouses for flowers and vegetables for the farm.
There is always a smile on his face. He often takes out ice creams from his bag in the front of his bicycle to the children magically.




Mike’s father used to work in Chrysler, and mike loves jeep. After driving my car, he says that our car is better than his with low noise.

He shows his Chinese driving license to us.




The eighteenth day, from Lhasa to Namco to Dangxiong. Refueling fees: 255 yuan.
It is sunny today. Mountains, rivers, meadows, cattle are particularly charming set by the blue sky in the sunshine. Tanggula Mountain is especially clear and bright.





Our baby drinks a little water in the lake, the Tibetan near the lake wants to buy our baby for 10 thousand yuan. Ha ha, Tibetan are very simple and direct, and they like baby so much. And there is someone who wants Tibetan mastiff for baby. Much more interesting, a Tibetan wants to buy our car!

The nineteenth day, from Dangxiong to Anduo, a total of 300 kilometers, refueling fees: 200 yuan.
The golden grassland is spectacular, vast and beyond our sights. There are tens of thousands cattle and sheep on the mountains.
Listening to the songs, enjoying the charming scenery, we are indeed touring in beautiful pictures! 





The government rewards ten thousand yuan to someone who can plant a tree. There are a lot of grasslands in great desertification.
It’s sunny in the morning and now it’s windy. When we are having lunch in Naqu wearing short-sleeves, it snows in the afternoon.
Anduo County, very small, but is the most distinctive place in Tibet.
